Happiness, Long Life

When the Buddhist monk placed this string on my wrist, she said, "pray for happiness, long life." At first, I would take it off at night, being a Sagittarius and all, not wanting additional constraints; but now as I leave Thailand, land of a thousand smiles, and head to India, I'm sort of getting used to it just being there. And I keep hearing her words when I look at it.

The weather in Southeast Asia has been, well, steamy. Its changing from dry season to wet season and the ocean breeze has been the only real consolation. What's wrong with spending the day at the beach and getting an open air Thai massage while listening to the waves crash? Absolutely nothing.

So, goodbye Kingdom of Thailand, hello Republic of India. Looking forward to a Hindu blessing, if I am so lucky.
